In addition to jumpin' and rockin'
R&B, The Flashcats often added comedy to their show.
Although it's completely functional, this guitar was used as
a prop.
Trumpeter Sweet Pete Loria would grab the guitar and run to the
end of the stage appearing to do a wild solo...
which was prerecorded. Most people thought he was really playing.
But mid-way through the solo he'd stop and comb his hair... the
solo kept going... people laughed....
The Flashcats don't think you should
take Rock & Roll, or life, too seriously...
