 left handed beatle bass

I can remember the first time I saw Paul McCartney playing his now-famous Hofner bass. It was February 9, 1964 on the Ed Sullivan show. Who could forget that electrifying night? I felt like a whole new world had opened up for me. And I knew I had to have a bass just like Paul's. It wasn't easy to find German-made violin basses in my small home town, but I finally found a music store that could order one for me. I waited, impatiently. Finally the store called--my new Hofner bass had arrived. By the time I hitch-hiked over that afternoon, though, they were closed. I peered through the window. There it was! I could see the case through the locked door of the shop. Let's just say I almost slept on the sidewalk that night!

Hofner offers two Beatle Bass reissues:

The Vintage 1963
Built to the same specifications as the 1963 bass; 4 individual tuners and a slim 3-piece neck. This one will make you feel like a Beatle!

The Vintage 1962
Considered to be the most accurate replica of Paul's famous bass, this model has a fatter, 2-piece neck, and "strip" tuning gears.
