Pittsburgh Guitars

1980 Hamer Sunburst
used by Warren King
in The Silencers

One of the best guitar players to ever come out of Pittsburgh, Warren King made a name for himself
in the late 1970s touring the country with the Pittsburgh rock/punk band Diamond Reo.
In 1979 Warren and Diamond Reo lead singer Frank Czuri formed The Silencers,
and were immediately signed to CBS Records.

This guitar was part of the distinctive "look" of the band, which included suits and sunglasses.
The Silencers recorded two LPs, and broke up in 1984.

Warren currently lives in Florida.
