1954 Gibson SJN Southern Jumbo at Pittsburgh Guitars 1954 Gibson SJN "Dottie"
Natural finish, slope-shoulder dreadnought in very good condition. This guitar has been loved! When we got it, it had a large, double curlicue pickguard, and the name "Dottie" adorned in applique along the bottom edge of the top. Subsequent improvements include refinishing the top, plugging a hole where there had been an input jack, repairing a large back crack, and a heel touch-up. It also has replacement pickguard and vintage (1960s) tuners. And now, even with many dings and lots of finish checking, she sings! Price includes non-original hard case. This banjo is almost completely original, with calfskin head, and in excellent overall condition given its age.
