2006 Les Paul `59 Reissue VOS at Pittsburgh Guitars

2006 Historic Les Paul `59 Reissue LPR9 VOS
Washed Cherry finish, and so pretty that we couldn't decide which pictures to use -- one angle is more beautiful than the next! This guitar, from the Gibson Custom Shop, features a striking flamed maple top and mahogany back, a mahogany neck with `59 rounded profile neck and bound rosewood fingerboard, ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece. It has the original humbucking pickups, each with tone and volume controls, amber top hat knobs, and aged nickel hardware. Vintage Kluson replica Tulip tuning keys accent its classic look. It is in excellent+ condition, with a couple really small dings, and very little playwear. It weighs 9 lbs. even. Price includes original hard Gibson Custom Shop case, and some of the case candy. 2011 Les Paul Traditional at Pittsburgh Guitars

2011 Les Paul Traditional
Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish on mahogany body with maple top and single-ply cream binding. This guitar is in excellent overall condition, with a couple small dings and some light surface scratches. It features a bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and figured acryilic trapezoid inlays, Tune-o-Matic bridge with Stop Bar tailpiece, and two `57 Classic humbuckers. It has gold speed knobs, and cream plastic pickguard and pickup rings. The pots are now all 500k, changed by the previous owner, who also installed Orange Drop capacitors, and changed the strap buttons. It is a clean and very attractive example of this model. Price includes the original hard Gibson case with fuzzy white insides, which lock latch has been removed, and is otherwise also in excellent condition. 2013 Les Paul Traditional
As part of their 2013 Year of Les Paul celebrations, Gibson revamped the Les Paul Traditional to combine the great sound of their original Standard model with a Grade-AA figured maple top beneath new finishes -- in this case Chicago Blue -- all in high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. Features include an unchambered back for tone and sustain, a rounded late-’50s neck shape with bound rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays, and two ’57 Classic PAF-style humbucking pickups with chromed covers. It is in excellent overall condition, with some small dings, and some scuff marks and light belt-buckle scratches on the back. Worn Cherry finish on a mahogany body, made in USA. It has a "1960 Slim Taper" mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays, Tune-o-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, and two Alnico humbucking pickups; a 490R in the neck and a 498T in the bridge. All original, it is in very good+ cosmetic condition with some dings, scratches, and small chips, and shows remarkably little fretwear. Price includes a hard SKB case with TSA locks. 1979 Hardtail Stratocaster at Pittsburgh Guitars

2008 Custom Shop `67 Telecaster Closet Classic
From the Fender Custom Shop "Time Machine" series, this Closet Classic `67 Telecaster is an exact reproduction of a late-`60s Tele. It features a black nitrocellulose-lacquered alder body, a C-shape neck with maple fingerboard, two custom-wound pickups, and Fender "F" tuning gears. This guitar was made with what Fender calls "Closet Classic Treatment," which means it was "built as if it was bought new it its model year, played maybe a few times per year and then carefully put away. It has a few small dings, a mildly checked finish, lightly oxidized hardware,and aged plastic parts." This guitar is in excellent condition, and shows less wear than that description. 1979 Hardtail Stratocaster at Pittsburgh Guitars

1979 Stratocaster (Hardtail)
Natural finish with maple fingerboard, non-tremolo bridge, and all original. It's in excellent overall condition, with a couple dings here and there, and some discoloration on the bottom edge of the fingerboard. It has some belt buckle scratches on the back, not through the finish. And there are some matted finish spots, front and back, possibly from laying on a strap. They only show up at certain angles, and did not show up well in the pictures. Price includes the original rectangular plastic Fender case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10)

2003 `70s Reissue Stratocaster
From Fender's "Classic Series," made in Mexico. It has an ash body in 3-color sunburst finish, and a maple fingerboard. Other features include a large headstock with `70s-style decal, 3 vintage style single coil Strat pickups with Alnico magnets, and vintage "F" style tuning gears. It is in excellent overall condition, with a couple small dings on the back/bottom, and a small impression on the neck. It's missing the backplate. Price includes a hard padded Harmony gig bag. 2014 Fender Coronado II at Pittsburgh Guitars 2002 Squier X-155
Tobacco sunburst finish and in excellent condition. Made in Korea, this single cutaway hollowbody features a double-bound laminated maple body with bound f-holes, a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid/abalone block inlays, 2 Duncan Designed humbucking pickups each with volume and tone controls, and a stylish "S" tailpiece. It's a great jazz box, and it is very clean, with no dings or scratches. Price includes a hard Samick case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8)

One of only 45 made, this guitar is all original, with the exception of the neck pickup which was rewound by Tom Brantley. The 2x4 is "famous" for having been used by Tommy James & The Shondells (for about 15 minutes), and it features 2 single coil pickups with a 3-way selector switch, and a rosewood fingerboard with pearl inlays. This one is red, and in excellent overall condition, with some lacquer chips on the front, sides, and back. Price includes original hard case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5)
1967 Rickenbacker 330/12 in Mapleglo at Pittsburgh Guitars

1967 Rickenbacker 330/12 12-String
Mapleglo finish, made in the USA, and in excellent overall condition. There is nothing like the iconic jangle of a Rickenbacker 12-string! Features on this guitar include a double-cutaway, semi-hollow maple body with slash soundhole, a 3-ply maple/walnut/maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and 21 frets, two Rickenbacker toaster pickups with 3-way switching and 5 control knobs -- tone and volume for each pickup, and a blend knob -- and the Rickenbacker "R" tailpiece. This is is a very clean example of this model, with only minor dings and light scratches, some on the body but mostly on the headstock and the bottom of the instrument. We have the original bridge cover, which screws are missing. The neck is straight and it has very minor fret wear. And the + wire from the input jack had been mysteriously cut and spliced when we got it. Other than that, this guitar is all original, and cool as can be! Price includes original hard case.

1998 Guild Bluesbird
Crimson Transparent finish on a chambered mahogany body with a figured, arched maple top. It features a bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlays, Duncan 59 humbuckers, Grover tuners, and Guild's Chesterfield headstock inlay. It is in excellent overall condition, and weighs in just under 8 lbs. It was a factory second at original point of sale, though this many years later, it is impossible to know what the blemish was. It does have several small dings and light surface scratches. And there are screw holes visible on the bottom from a previously-installed Bigsby. Price includes original hard case. Rare Emmons 8-string lap steel at Pittsburgh Guitars

1973 Emmons 8-String Lap Steel
A rare Emmons 8-string lap steel! It's in excellent condition, and features a hot (10.05k ohm) 8-pole pickup with tone and volume controls, an "atomic" fingerboard, and Kluson Deluxe tuning machines. The pot codes date to 1973, and it is quite clean for its age, with very little wear on the body and no tears on the felt bottom. The decal is lifting a bit, and there is some discoloration on the bass side near the pickup, which is under the finish. It does not have a case, but comes with its original shipping box. Double-cutaway hollowbody in Walnut Stain finish and in excellent condition. Features include a laminated maple body with maple neck, bound rosewood fingerboard with Gretsch "Neo Classic Thumbnail" inlays, dual-coil humbucking pickups, a rosewood-based Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, Bigsby®-licensed B60 vibrato tailpiece, "G-arrow" knobs, and vintage-style chrome-plated tuners. It is very clean, with no dings or finish chips. Price includes non-original hard jumbo-sized case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8)
Harmony by Heath TG-36 / H56/1 hollowbody at Pittsburgh Guitars

c. 1967 Harmony by Heath H56/1 Rocket
This USA Harmony Rocket was sold by the Heath Company as one of their DIY electronics projects. It features a Redburst finish, 2 Dearmond Gold Foil Mustache pickups, with adjustable pole pieces and tone and volume controls for each, and a Type W vibrato tailpiece. It is in excellent overall condition, with some dings and small chips, and a repaired crack at the input. There are 2 scuff marks in the finish below the bridge, where it sat in the wrong postion. 1965 Baldwin Baby Bison at Pittsburgh Guitars 1965 Baldwin Baby Bison
Black finish on a sycamore body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays, and one of the original Bar-Magnet pickups. This is an early example of a model that was intended to be an export, a less-expensive version of the Burns Bison, made for the American market. It has the early appointments that were soon changed by Baldwin after they purchased the Burns company in September of 1965. Those features include a split "V" headstock with v-shaped plexiglass logo, 2 small pickguard pieces, and the long Rezo-Tube tailpiece. It is in very good condition, with some small dings and light scratches & scuffs, some dings on the back of the neck, a replaced bridge pickup, and it is missing the tremolo arm and the backplate. 2016 Yamaha Revstar 620 at Pittsburgh Guitars 2016 Yamaha Revstar RS620
Brick Burst finish and in near-mint condition, with the plastic still on the pickguard. This guitar is from the new Yamaha Revstar lineup, which has been "...carefully engineered to bring out the unique personality of each guitar." The RS620 features a mahogany body with flame maple top, set neck, bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets, and two VH5+ vintage output humbucking pickups with master tone and master volume knobs and a push/pull dry switch. We purchased this guitar from the original owner, and it is as clean as can be. Price includes equally clean original gig bag. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9)
1966 Airline Bobkat at Pittsburgh Guitars 1985 Peavey Horizon II
Sunburst finish, made in USA, and in excellent overall condition. Features include a contoured body, maple neck with 24 frets, and three pickups -- two high output humbuckers with blade pole pieces, and a single coil in the middle position. Switches allow the player to turn off the center single coil and operate either humbucker in single- or dual-coil mode, allowing for a wide tonal range.  It has an assortment of small dings and chips, and some wear on the fingerboard, tho very little fretwear. 1966 Airline Bobkat at Pittsburgh Guitars 1966 Airline Bobkat
Sunburst finish on a slimline solid body electric, made in USA. The Bobkat was produced by Harmony, and was marketed under the Airline brand name for Montgomery Ward. This one is dated 1966 under the pickguard. It is all stock, including the Dearmond "Diamond Case" pickup and bridge cover, and cool as cool can be! It has one pickup, tone and volume controls and a tone bypass switch, 6-in-line tuners, and a 24 1/4" scale. It weighs a comfortable 5 lbs. 10 oz. Everything works perfectly. The body does show some wear, with an assortment of dings and chips mostly along the top edge, and on the back of the neck. It does not have a case. Used Hofner Verythin at Pittsburgh Guitars 2013 Hofner CT Verythin
Red tranparent finish, and in excellent-plus condition, with no dings or scratches, and no visible playwear. Based on the classic Hofner Verythin guitar body shape from 1960, this Contemporary Series guitar features a flame maple, semi-hollow body with center block for increased sustain, deeper tones, and less feedback. Other features include a rosewood fingerboard with decorative bar markers, and two Hofner humbuckers with nickel covers. Andat 1.25" deep, it is very thin! Price includes original hard case. Used Airline Twin Tone at Pittsburgh Guitars 2014 Airline Twin Tone
Green finish with a rosewood fingerboard and in near-mint condition. Eastwood's quality tribute to the Supro Dual Tone, this cool reissue features a basswood body, maple bolt-on neck, dual Hot-Rail humbucking pickups with 3-way switching, and a Tune-o-Matic bridge with a custom chrome tailpiece. This guitar is exceptionally clean, with no dings or scratches and no visible playwear. Price includes a gig bag, which is sturdy and shows more wear than the guitar. Key to Descriptions

Before we sell any used instrument, we send it through our repair shop for a complete set up. But because they're used, we've worked out the following descriptions to let you know how used they are. We'll be happy to give you more information via phone or email.

Mint Condition--like new, no wear
Excellent condition
--some play wear, maybe some small dings or light surface scratches
Very good condition
--a few scratches, some dings and/or lacquer chips, but structurally sound, normal play wear
Good condition--structurally sound, has been played a lot, some repairs or cosmetic flaws possible
Fair condition--a well-loved guitar, may have some problems, but we'll describe them as accurately as possible
