2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus at Pittsburgh Guitars 2003 Les Paul Standard Plus
Tobacco sunburst finish with a flamed maple "plus" top, all original, and in excellent overall condition. Features include a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays, Nashville Tune-o-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, nickel plated hardware, and Kluson-style Gibson Deluxe tuners. It has a couple small dings, some surface scratches, and some belt buckle scratches on the back. It weighs a comfortable 8 lbs. 10.5 oz. Price includes original hardshell case. 2009 Gibson SG Standard at Pittsburgh Guitars 2009 SG Standard
Cherry finish and in excellent overall condition. It has a couple small dings on the front, not through the finish, a small chip on the back at the control panel, and one on the edge of the headstock. It features a rosewood fingerboard, tune-o-matic bridge with stop tailpiece, and 2 humbucking pickups. Price includes non-original hard SKB case with TSA locks. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5)

2000 Gibson SG Standard at Pittsburgh Guitars 2000 SG Standard
Red with a rosewood fingerboard, tune-o-matic bridge with stop tailpiece, and 2 humbucking pickups. It shows some playwear, with several dings and scratches. There's some belt buckle wear on the back that did not show up in the pictures. Price includes original hard case. (picture - 2 - 3)

172 / 1976 American Stratocaster Reissue at Pittsburgh Guitars 1973 Telecaster Deluxe
Natural finish and in very good condition, with an assortment of dings and nicks, belt buckle scratches, and playwear. It has had some work done -- the body has been refinished, it's been refretted with jumbo frets, and the neck has been narrowed, professionally, to 1 9/16" at the nut. Mondern Fender tuners round out the work. It weighs a comfy 7 lbs, 13.5 oz, plays great, and has a very cool vibe. Price includes original hard case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5)

172 / 1976 American Stratocaster Reissue at Pittsburgh Guitars 1972 / 1976 American Stratocaster
A 1972 neck on a 1976 hardtail body, white finish with rosewood fingerboard, a black pickguard, and a cool vibe. It has Texas Special pickups. It's clean overall, with several small dings and lacquer chips, a discolored spot on the front that's only noticeable at certain angles, and some fret wear on the first 3 frets. At one time it had a 4-bolt neckplate, and the additional screw holes are visible. A previous owner etched "Dale" into the current 3-bolt plate. Price includes original hard case. 1996 American Vintage `62 Stratocaster Reissue at Pittsburgh Guitars 2006 American Deluxe Series "V" Neck Stratocaster
2-color sunburst finish on a solid alder body with maple fingerboard, made in USA, and in excellent condition. This guitar features Fender's classic "V" shape maple neck3 Samarian Cobalt Noiseless Strat pickups with Fender's S-1 switching, locking tuners, 22 medium jumbo frets, and abalone inlays. It's very clean, with a couple small dings, nothing through the finish. Price includes original hard case with lots of original paperwork. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4)

One of only 45 made, this guitar is all original, with the exception of the neck pickup which was rewound by Tom Brantley. The 2x4 is "famous" for having been used by Tommy James & The Shondells (for about 15 minutes), and it features 2 single coil pickups with a 3-way selector switch, and a rosewood fingerboard with pearl inlays. This one is red, and in excellent overall condition, with some lacquer chips on the front, sides, and back. Price includes original hard case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5)

Hand crafted in the USA! Gold flake finish on a poplar body, with rosewood fingerboard. It has a Jason Lollar JM pickup in the bridge, and a Danelectro lipstick pickup in the neck, with a 3-way switch. It's in excellent overall condition, with a couple small dings on one edge. From the Gretsch Professional Collection, this double-cutaway, laminated maple hollowbody guitar is in excellent-plus condition. It features a walnut stain with simulated f-holes, a zero fret, bound ebony fretboard with the neo-classic "thumbnail" fret markers, 2 Filter-'Tron pickups, a dual flip-up muffler system, Grover Imperial machine heads, gold hardware, and a gold nameplate on the headstock. Single cutaway hollow body guitar in Dark Cherry Red, made in Japan (pre-Fender). This guitar is in excellent condition. It features a laminated maple body 16" wide, a bound rosewood fingerboard with Neo-Classic "Thumbnail" inlays, two Filter'Tron pickups, a Gretsch Bigsby tailpiece, and chrome-plated hardware. Sunburst finish, made in USA, and in excellent overall condition. This guitar features a chambered mahogany body with a flame maple top, bound rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl inlays, and two humbucking pickups. It has a couple small dings here and there, and some light belt-buckle scratches on the back. The bridge and tailpiece have been changed (Gotoh), and it has graphite saddles. Godin 5th Avenue at Pittsburgh Guitars 1960 Tosca Thunder Stick
From the golden age of Supro and Valco, this guitar is about as cool as it gets. A rare, 2 pickup version, this USA-made guitar has a copper finish on 3/4 size body, and gold hardware. It has seen some action -- it has many chips, dings, and scratches. It has a big, chunky neck. The logo is missing and there's a shadow of the Tosca name on the headstock. It weighs in at 5 lbs., 5.5 oz. Price includes a non-original, little bit big chipboard case. If we find something more suitable before you buy it, we'll send that instead! (picture - 2 - 3 - 4)

Key to Descriptions

Before we sell any used instrument, we send it through our repair shop for a complete set up. But because they're used, we've worked out the following descriptions to let you know how used they are. We'll be happy to give you more information via phone or email.

Mint Condition--like new, no wear
Excellent condition
--some play wear, maybe some small dings or light surface scratches
Very good condition
--a few scratches, some dings and/or lacquer chips, but structurally sound, normal play wear
Good condition--structurally sound, has been played a lot, some repairs or cosmetic flaws possible
Fair condition--a well-loved guitar, may have some problems, but we'll describe them as accurately as possible
As-is--needs work
