1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom at Pittsburgh Guitars

1979 Les Paul Custom
Wine Red finish, all original, made in USA, and quite clean for its years! It has a mahogany body with maple top, bound ebony fingerboard with pearloid block inlays, and two humbucking pickups with 3-way switching. Other features include a Nashville Tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, tone and volume controls for each pickup, and and gold-plated hardware. This one has been well taken care of, with a reasonable amount of honest playwear, some small dings, light surface scratches, some belt buckle wear, and scuff marks. A previous owner put strap locks on at some point -- we have the other ends as well as the original buttons in the case. This guitar plays great and has a cool vibe, and comes with the original hard Gibson case which shows some wear -- the latches and hinges work and the handle is secure. 2015 Non-Reverse Limited Edition Firebird at Pittsburgh Guitars

2015 Limited Edition Non-Reverse Firebird
Ebony finish on a Z-shaped solid mahogany body with gloss finish, and in excellent condition. It has a mahogany "Slim Taper" neck with rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, and medium jumbo frets; Tune-o-Matic bridge with stop bar tailpiece; and two mini-humbucking pickups each with tone and volume controls. It is quite clean, with only a couple tiny dings -- nothing through the finish -- and the light surface scratches common on black guitars. The knobs have been changed to gold. And the tuning gears were once changed, and shadows of the old gears, and some screw holes, are visible. It now has the original mini-Grover gears. 2011 Gibson Flying V at Pittsburgh Guitars

2011 Flying V
Cherry finish on a mahogany body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and acrylic dot markers, and chrome hardware. Other features include a Gibson tune-o-matic bridge with stop bar tailpiece, black tophat knobs, and two humbucking pickups. It has a Flying V truss rod cover, stamped with the Gibson logo. This guitar is in very good+ condition, with some small dings, light scratches, and some belt buckle scratches on the back that show in direct light. The pickguard is slightly warped on the treble side. The tuning gears have been changed to Grovers, and extra screw holes are just visible above the gears. Made in USA, this one has been refinished in Red Sparkle. It's in very good condition, with some small dings in the red sparkle, light checking in the finish, a small chip on the edge of the truss rod cover, and wear along the front and back edges of the headstock. Features include three Texas Special single-coil pickups, tinted C-shaped maple bolt-on neck, and a vintage style synchronized tremolo bridge. This one has a mint green pickguard and backplate. It is in excellent condition overall, with some light surface scratches, and scuff marks on the back and along the bottom edge that show up clearly in direct light. 2014 Fender Squier Mini Strat
Pink with a rosewood fingerboard, and in excellent condition. The Squier Mini is a 3/4-size version (22.75" scale length) of the Squier Bullet Strat, and is a great guitar for kids or for travel. Features include three single-coil pickups, a fixed non-tremolo hardtail bridge and five-way switching. It does not have a case.

1956 Gretsch Duo Jet
This exceptionally clean example of a vintage Gretsch Duo Jet came to us from a large collection of well cared-for guitars. It is 100% original, with a chambered mahogany body, 2 DeArmond pickups, a grey plastic pickguard, and “G” tailpiece. It has a Melita bridge, flat top arrow knobs, bound rosewood fingerboard with rectangular block inlays, and the Gretsch “T-roof” logo on the headstock. It shows normal playwear, with some light finish scratches on the top, some small dings and scratches in the mahogany body, and some finish checking. The top material is lifting slightly on the upper edge of the body. And it has absolutely no binding issues. 1968 Rickenbacker 325 in Jetglo at Pittsburgh Guitars

1968 Rickenbacker 325 JG
This 3/4 scale Ric is about as Beatle-esque as you can get, made famous by John Lennon's use of the model. It features a thin, hollow, double-cutaway body, 3 pickups, 5 knobs, and a whole lot of mojo! It came to us with a poor, amateur refinish; we had it professionally redone, and looks beautiful. It has an added period Bigsby. All other parts are original with the exception of the bridge and bridgeplate. The fingerboard finish is cracked, and there is fret wear, but it still plays cleanly. The rest of it is a clean, glossy black! Price includes recent hard Ric case.

2017 Gretsch Silver Jet at Pittsburgh Guitars

2017 Gretsch G2169T Silver Jet
In Silver Sparkle finish, this one's a beauty! Based on the classic late-1950s Silver Jet, this guitar from the Gretsch Professional Collection features a semi-hollow, bound mahogany body with an arched laminated maple top, and a one-piece mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard and bound headstock. It has two High Sensitive Filter'Tron humbucking pickups, and a Bigsby tailpiece. It's in remarkably clean condition, with no nicks, dings or scratches, and no visible fretwear, and the plastic still on the back panels. 2014 Rickenbacker 360 MG
Mapleglo finish, made in the USA, and in excellent condition. Features include a contoured maple body with a bound back, rosewood fingerboard with triangular pearloid inlay markers, "R" tailpiece and six saddle bridge, two Rickenbacker Hi-gain pickups, and both mono and stereo outputs. It is very clean, with one small ding on the top of the headstock, and some shadowing under the finish around the cat's eye slash. Price includes the original hard case, and some case candy.

Sunburst finish on a single-cutaway laminated maple body, made in USA and in very good+ condition. It has two DeArmond "Double Mustache" pickups, with tone and volume controls for each. (It has tone for days -- with "Tone" printed on all 4 knobs! Obviously, 2 have been changed....) It has some dings and scratches, and small spots of bare wood. Our guitar tech put original-style tuning gears back on after we got it and there are no extra holes. We also did a wiring repair, and the electronics are otherwise original and correct. Fire Bronze finish on a solid body with rosewood fingerobard, made in the USA. It has a humbucker-size single coil pickup with a single attachment screw at the center, tone and volume controls, and a tone switch. From an early 1960s Supro catalog: "...the Ozark is a fine instrument. So easy to play - the feather touch action of the genuine KORD-KING neck insures professional accuracy. The tone is bright and clear." It is in very good condition, with a number of scratches, dings, and finish chips, and some wear on the pickguard. Price includes a modern Supro hard case. Sunburst finish on a solid "German carve" body, with a rosewood fingerboard, made in Japan. This was last version of the Hi Flyer made, with two humbucking pickups with 3-way switching, tone and volume knobs, and a black pickguard. It's in very good condition, with surface scratches, and a number of dings and finish chips, mostly around the edges. The neck is comfortable and straight, and it has very little fretwear. 1965 Silvertone Model 1457 Amp-In-Case
Red Sparkleburst finish, made in the USA, with the amp-in-case! This model was made for a couple years in the mid-1960s, and was hugely popular in its day. And it is popular still! It has two lipstick pickups with stacked concentric knobs for tone and volume control for each, a rosewood fingerboard with dot markers, Dano-designed bridge, and the amp built right into the case. Everything is original, with the exception of the top half of one of the stacked knobs. And it all works exactly as it should! The guitar is in very good condition, with some scuffs and scratches and visible playwear, while there is very limited fretwear. Key to Descriptions

Before we sell any used instrument, we send it through our repair shop for a complete set up. But because they're used, we've worked out the following descriptions to let you know how used they are. We'll be happy to give you more information via phone or email.

Mint Condition--like new, no wear
Excellent condition
--some play wear, maybe some small dings or light surface scratches
Very good condition
--a few scratches, some dings and/or lacquer chips, but structurally sound, normal play wear
Good condition--structurally sound, has been played a lot, some repairs or cosmetic flaws possible
Fair condition--a well-loved guitar, may have some problems, but we'll describe them as accurately as possible
