1980 Gibson Firebrand SG at Pittsburgh Guitars

1980 GIbson Firebrand "The SG" Deluxe
Brown finish on a mahogany body, with ebony fingerboard and two humbucking pickups. It has new correct tuners and input jack, and is in very good cosmetic condition, with a number of small dings and scratches, and chip on the back of the neck. Price includes a non-original, clean hard rectangular case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8)

2014 Epiphone MKH Les Paul Custom 7-String at Pittsburgh Guitars

2014 Epiphone MKH Les Paul Custom-7
Ebony gloss finish and designed in collaboration with Epiphone and Trivium's Matt Heafy. The Limited Edition Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom 7-string features a mahogany body with maple veneer, and a 1960s slim-taper neck profile, glued in a deep-set neck joint with "Axcess" heel. It has a bound ebony fingerboard with pearloid block inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, and active EMG pickups voiced especially for the guitar -- an EMG-707 pickup in the neck, and an EMG-81-7 pickup in the bridge. It's in excellent condition, with no scratches or lacquer chips. Price includes a gig bag. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6)

1979 Hardtail Stratocaster at Pittsburgh Guitars

1979 Hardtail Stratocaster
Natural finish with maple fingerboard, non-tremolo bridge, and all original. It's in excellent overall condition, with a couple dings here and there, and some discoloration on the bottom edge of the fingerboard. It has some belt buckle scratches on the back, not through the finish. And there are some matted finish spots, front and back, possibly from laying on a strap. They only show up at certain angles, and did not show up well in the pictures. Price includes the original rectangular plastic Fender case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10)

1996 Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster at Pittsburgh Guitars

1996 Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster
Based on Vaughan's "Number One" strat, in 3-Color Sunburst finish and in excellent condition with a couple small dings and light surface scratches, nothing through the finish. It features Texas Special pickups, reverse vintage style tremolo bridge, gold-plated hardware, and an engraved SRV pickguard. Price includes equally clean original hard tweed case with lots of original paperwork. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5)

2014 Fender Coronado II at Pittsburgh Guitars 2014 Coronado II
Sparkling Candy Apple Red finish with a bound rosewood fingerboard with white pearloid block inlays. Features include a semi-hollow maple body with alder center-block, bound F-holes, two Fideli-Tron humbucking pickups, and 3-way switching. This guitar is in near-mint condition, with no dings or scratches, no visible playwear, and the plastic still on the pickguard. It does not have a case! (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6)

1964 Gretsch Country Gentleman at Pittsburgh Guitars

1964 /1965 Gretsch Country Gentleman
This is a one-owner guitar, in amazingly clean condition. The serial number dates to 1964 as do most of the guitar's features. One of the pot codes is dated to the 16th week of 1965. 100% original, it features a Filter'Tron pickup in the bridge, which, according to the info that came with it from the factory, is "to give you perfection in brilliant highs," and a Super'Tron II Jazz pickup in the neck position, likewise "to give the player total performance at all levels." And it has the Gretsch "Action Flow" fret nut for "perfect Fret level playing action." It's very clean, with perfect binding. It has a couple small dings here and there, and some coil-cable marks on the back. There is some wear on the gold plating, and discoloration in a couple spots around the back of the neck, which is not through the finish. Price includes equally-clean original hard case with all of the original paperwork. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10)

1967 Le Baye 2 x 4 at Pittsburgh Guitars 1967 Le Baye 2x4
One of only 45 made, this guitar is all original, with the exception of the neck pickup which was rewound by Tom Brantley. The 2x4 is "famous" for having been used by Tommy James & The Shondells (for about 15 minutes), and it features 2 single coil pickups with a 3-way selector switch, and a rosewood fingerboard with pearl inlays. This one is red, and in excellent overall condition, with some lacquer chips on the front, sides, and back. Price includes original hard case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5)
2014 Guild Aristocrat at Pittsburgh Guitars

2014 Guild M-75 Aristocrat
Part of Guild's Newark Street Series, the M-75 Aristocrat is based on a classic Guild model from the 1950s. It is crafted with a chambered mahogany body topped with arched laminated spruce, a combination that gives it a beefy, resonant voice. Other features include a 3-piece mahogany/maple/mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and pearloid block inlays, a pair of special Guild "Frequency Tested" single-coil pickups, individual volume and tone controls, and gold-plated hardware. This one is very clean, with no dings or finish chips. Price includes original hard case, also in excellent condition. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8)

1966 Hagstrom II at Pittsburgh Guitars

c. 1965 Hagstrom II
Red finish on an offset, double-cutaway body. Features include a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, two Hagstrom single-coil pickups, four switches (on/off for each pickup, tone, and mute), and a volume control, and original Hagstrom tremolo. It has a comfortable, flat neck, with easy action. It's in very good cosmetic condition with a number of dings and finish chips on the front, back, and sides, and on the back of the neck. And there's a non-original tightening screw in the tremolo. Price includes original chipboard case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9)

1965 Klira Triumphator / Golden Eagle
An unusual, rare, German-made, hard-to-identify solid body electric with a bolt-on neck, two single coil pickups, and a very cool tremolo. It has master tone and volume controls, and on/off switches for each pickup. The pots date it to 1965. It's in excellent overall condition, with a few scuff marks, and some deep finish checks. Price includes a clean period-correct looking, possibly original chipboard case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 11)

Used Danelectro 59M N.O.S. at Pittsburgh Guitars Danelectro 59M - NOS
Made in Korea, black gloss finish, and in excellent-plus condition, with just the lightest of surface scratches. This guitar features Danelectro's iconic shorthorn shape, with a 25" scale length, a fully adjustable bridge, and 2 NOS lipstick pickups. It does not have a case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4)

Key to Descriptions

Before we sell any used instrument, we send it through our repair shop for a complete set up. But because they're used, we've worked out the following descriptions to let you know how used they are. We'll be happy to give you more information via phone or email.

Mint Condition--like new, no wear
Excellent condition
--some play wear, maybe some small dings or light surface scratches
Very good condition
--a few scratches, some dings and/or lacquer chips, but structurally sound, normal play wear
Good condition--structurally sound, has been played a lot, some repairs or cosmetic flaws possible
Fair condition--a well-loved guitar, may have some problems, but we'll describe them as accurately as possible
As-is--needs work
